FAQ

What is the Kids4Freedom Teen Safety Challenge '27?

The Kids4Freedom Teen Safety Challenge '27 is an educational initiative created by Connect for Freedom to empower youth with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe online and recognize the warning signs of online exploitation and human trafficking.

Who is eligible to participate?

Legal U.S. residents of Connecticut, New Jersey, or New York who are between 13 and 18 years old as of the date of entry. Entrants must have parent/legal guardian permission to enter, and the account created on the Website must include the parent/guardian's email address and phone number.

What is the sweepstakes?

Every teen who completes the educational presentation, passes the knowledge check, and completes the Pledge2Protect pledge receives one entry into the Sweepstakes. No artwork is required. Five winners are chosen at random.

What is the art poster contest?

The Art Poster Contest is another way to participate, in addition to the Sweepstakes. After completing the course, participants can create and submit an original poster on the theme of online exploitation and human trafficking awareness for a chance to win the grand prize. One winning poster is selected by a judge panel.

Can I win both the sweepstakes and the art poster contest?

No!

Participants who submit for the Art Poster Contest also qualify for one entry into the Sweepstakes. However, participants cannot win both the Sweepstakes and the Art Poster Contest.

How long do I have to respond if I'm selected as a winner?

Potential winners (or their parent/legal guardian) must respond and complete required verification steps within 5 days of notification. If a winner doesn't respond in time or otherwise doesn't comply, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. See the Official Rules for full details.

What happens after I submit my artwork?

During the Judging Period (December 15, 2026 – January 14, 2027), a judge panel appointed by Connect for Freedom and Kids4Freedom scores eligible Contest entries using a rubric weighted equally across Purpose & Theme, Images, Design, Organization & Balance, and Creativity. The top-scoring entry is named the potential Contest winner and will be notified on or about January 15, 2027 for verification.
